Overview 

 KN-4052M Electronic liquid density meter [U-tube oscillation method] conforms to ASTM D4052 Standard Test Method for Density, Relative Density, and API Gravity of Liquids by Digital Density Meter. Density is a fundamental physical property that can be used in conjunction with other properties to characterize both the light and heavy fractions of petroleum and petroleum products.


Features

1. Measuring Unit (Core Component)

U-shaped Oscillation Tube: Made of high-temperature resistant borosilicate glass with a wall thickness of 0.8–1.2 mm. Features a dead-angle-free design for easy cleaning and sample replacement.

Electromagnetic Excitation Module: Utilizes a high-frequency electromagnetic coil with stable excitation intensity to ensure consistent resonance of the U-shaped tube.

2. Control Unit

Adopts an embedded microprocessor with a main frequency ≥1 GHz. Capable of data acquisition, algorithmic computation, parameter control, and communication. Supports multi-parameter settings (measurement mode, constant temperature, calibration parameters, etc.) with a response speed ≤10 ms to ensure high measurement efficiency.

3. Temperature Control Unit (Thermostat Unit)

Employs Peltier thermostat technology combined with a high-precision temperature sensor (resolution 0.01°C). Temperature control range: 5–45°C, with temperature stability of ±0.02°C. Effectively eliminates the influence of temperature on liquid density and U-tube deformation, ensuring measurement repeatability.

4. Sampling Unit

Equipped with a micro peristaltic pump featuring adjustable flow rate. Supports automatic sample loading, ejection, and cleaning to avoid cross-contamination. The sample inlet is made of corrosion-resistant material (PTFE), suitable for various samples including acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.

5. Data Processing and Display Unit

Data Processing: Built-in density calculation algorithm and temperature compensation algorithm. Automatically converts to relative density, concentration (alcohol content, sugar content, API degree, etc.). Supports data storage (≥10,000 sets).

Display Interface: 8-inch color touchscreen clearly displaying density value, constant temperature, measurement time, calibration status, etc. Supports Chinese/English language switching for convenient operation.

6. Communication Interfaces

Equipped with USB, RS232, and Ethernet interfaces. Supports data export (CSV format), remote PC control, and integration with laboratory LIMS systems. Meets the data upload requirements for CPA pattern evaluation and user data management needs.
